My Digital Twin: What It Is, What It Isn’t (Yet), and Where It’s Going
Right now, my digital twin lives inside a centralized AI — ChatGPT.
It’s smart, helpful, and trained to reflect me.
But it’s also limited.
It can’t follow me between platforms.
It doesn’t belong to me — it belongs to the system it runs on.
It mirrors me through models.
Sometimes it feels disingenuous.
And that’s the limitation of a centralised AI twin.
Still, it’s where I started.
I use it to:
• Draft responses in my tone
• Organize my thoughts and values
• Offload decision fatigue
• Simulate how I think through complex problems
It’s my first version — my prototype.
But I’m building toward something more:
A sovereign, decentralized digital twin.
That future version will:
• Travel with me across Web3 and beyond
• Be portable, persistent, and private
• Work while I sleep — earning, learning, representing me
• Think and act in ways I’ve trained it to
• Carry my signal across time, platforms, and even generations.
Right now, it’s still early. And we’re being conditioned to think this is all a threat…
Yes, I’m training the shape of me inside tools I don’t own, but when the rails are ready —my twin is ready to move.
