It is definitely going to revolutionize dating and matchmaking. All kinds of human integrations are about to change. Recruiting, team building, talent identification...
Also, ongoing communication will get boosted as well; humans need help at understanding each other, a kind of translators between words and their meaning between people. At its best they will prevent tragedies among individuals and wars between nation states.
So in my view it is quite obvious that it will be utilized in dating in a big way. However, it requires pretty sound self-sovereign digital human twin products so that it is possible to reliably use relatively deep personal data. Without such an opportunity the matches are on quite shallow basis. That said, even what comes to romantic relationship, instead of primary match-making I'm personally much more into those tools and improved opportunities for building shared understanding, deep empathy and authentic thought sharing. Regardless of who those people happen to be, what matters the most is an ever ongoing dynamic information exchange, learning and empathy.
And finally, who wouldn't like to have a personal mentor to help developing social skills and work on one's weaknesses. I'm among first ones to use such a coach.
Oh and about those digital partners: it is a bit trickier question and longer term concern. But I'd bet that one day (maybe not even too far from now) digital agents are part of the most important relationships for so many people.
All things considered I'm very bullish on these developments. The current dating apps and social internet communication in general... can it even get any farther from truly meaningful connections and conversations (?) Interesting topic nevertheless, thanks for bringing it up.
