PharmAla Biotech Holdings Inc. (CSE: MDMA; OTCQB: MDXXF) has officially launched Phenesafe AI, an advanced artificial intelligence platform designed to streamline the discovery and development of new molecules within the MDXX class, including MDMA derivatives. The company announced the launch on May 15, 2025, highlighting its potential to speed up the identification, screening, and patenting of new therapeutic compounds.

CEO Nicholas Kadysh emphasized the strategic role of the MDXX class in addressing psychiatric and neurological conditions, calling Phenesafe “a smarter and faster way” to develop impactful treatments. “We believe this class holds untapped therapeutic potential,” he said.

The Phenesafe platform integrates multiple AI-driven tools, notably a QSAR model developed with the University of Windsor under a grant from the Ontario Centres of Innovation, along with advanced chemical pathway modeling systems. These components work together to pinpoint promising molecular structures and assess their viability for synthesis and patenting.

VP of Research Harpreet Kaur likened molecule discovery to product design, stressing the importance of targeting neurological receptors, understanding structure-function relationships, and ensuring synthetic feasibility. “The development of Phenesafe AI will help us do all of these elements more quickly and effectively,” she noted.

PharmAla remains the only biotech company currently supplying clinical-grade MDMA for patient use outside of clinical trials, with a continued focus on safety pharmacology and addressing unmet medical needs.
